Pilato Lake from Forca Viola

It's one of the most famous hikes in the Sibillini Mountains due to the presence of the only natural lake in the Marche region, a relic of the glacier that occupied the valley during the last ice age.
This itinerary is one of the most spectacular to reach Pilato Lake both in terms of hiking and landscape. From the gentle plateau of Castelluccio to the rugged valley of Pilato Lake, starting from Fonte San Lorenzo and passing through Forca Viola.
The hike follows the same route back and forth.
Please note: From the meeting point, we will travel 2 km on a dirt road in good condition.
