Description
An excursion to one of the most fascinating, mysterious, and biodiverse places in the Sibillini Mountains.
The Gorges of Infernaccio (Gorges of Hell), nestled between Mount Priora and Mount Sibilla, where legend has it that the prophetess Sibilla dwelled.
You traverse very diverse environments starting from the characteristic 'Pisciarelle', then the gorge of Infernaccio carved by the Tenna River over millennia, before immersing yourself in the spectacular and ancient beech forest of San Leonardo.
Finally, the hermitage of San Leonardo, unfortunately closed due to the earthquake, but where the view opens onto the rugged northern slope of Mount Sibilla.
Return via the same route.
