One of the greates hidden gems in Italy is the Le March region. Embracing the Adriatic Sea, with breathtaking landscape and hilltowns, this region is a wonderful Iitalian place to discover. Rolling hills in all shades of green, medioeval hilltop towns, tiny villages with beautiful houses, kilometers of vineyards and olive trees, surprising beaches alongside the blue sea, wonderful food and exquisite wine. Day 1 - Urbino, a majestic town stuck in medieval times
The journey begins in the elegant city of Urbino, included in the Unesco heritage list for having been a point of attraction for the most illustrious Renaissance scholars and artists from all over Italy and the world and having influenced cultural progress in the rest of Europe. Cultural visit of the town and dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 2 – Sasso Simone e Simoncello Natural Reserve
Hiking morning to the suggestive Sasso Simone and Simoncello, two blocks of limestone resting on clay hills: like mesas reminiscent of the American Monument Valley. The excursion is a pleasant walk to the top of Sasso Simone where views open up over the northern part of the region and where the ruins of an ancient city, built by the Medici family of Florence, can be admired. At the end of the excursion, tasting of local products: truffle and Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP.
Day 3 – Frasassi Cave and Temple of Valadier
We move South to reach the Frasassi Natural Reserve. The Frasassi Caves are one of the world’s most fascinating subterranean passageways among the largest known cave system in Europe. Breathtaking stalagmites and stalactites are scattered throughout the massive caverns that have aboundant water. After the visit a gentle walk to the Temple of Valadier, an octagonal church wich rises among the rocks of a deep canyon.
Day 4 - The Conero Riviera forest and beaches’s
Hiking morning to the green earth of Monte Conero Natural Reserve. Astonishing green and wild nature in a stretch of coast dominated by the promontory of the Monte Conero. From the summit views on the crystal-clear sea and white beaches where we rest at the end of the hike. In the afternoon visit Sirolo and tasting local Rosso Conero wine.
Day 5 – Sibillini National Park
Sibillini National Park is a region plenty of natural treasures and mysterious stories. At the border in between Le Marche and Umbria medioeval villages are surrounded by lakes, rivers, mountains and plateaus. We approach the
protected area from the small town of Fiastra, surrounded by its turquoise lake. Excursion in the fantastic scenery of the Piani di Ragnolo with surprising views over the entire region
Day 6 – From Sibillini to Ascoli Piceno
Morning in one of the most evocative places in the Park, the splendid scenery of the Castelluccio di Norcia plateaus, on the border with Umbria. Easy excursion and lunch with typical products before moving on to one of the Marche's most beautiful cities: Ascoli Piceno. Famous for its elegant piazza and tasty ascolane olives, a guided tour of the historic centre and its medieval towers in the late afternoon.
Day 7 – Departure
Arrivederci Italia! Private tranfer to Rome airport
