The stay puts in touch the most beautiful beaches of Conero’s Riviera, the city of Ancona and its mediaeval castles, the best selected gastronomy, the nature across suggestive views and pleasant walks. 
We will discover the territory through the stories and the experiences of those who daily live there and work for the safeguard of local culture and for the social and environmental sustainability.

THE TRIP DAY BY DAY
Day 1
The arrival in the accommodation facility near Recanati is scheduled in the late afternoon.
This facility is managed with passion by a co-op operating for more than twenty years in the biological agriculture and work placement for disabled.
Once settled in your rooms, the owners will show you the different areas of the premises, discovering the history and projects carried out by the cooperative in the last years. 
Dinner at the farmhouse and opportunity to reach Recanati for an evening walk. 
Overnight stay in the farmhouse.

Day 2
Time to discover Mezzavalle’s beach after breakfast. 
One of the most suggestive locations of the Riviera, where we can enjoy with no hurry crystalline waters and the Mediterranean maquis.
In the late afternoon we will reach Camerano, one of the twenties castles of the Marca Anconetana to visit the mysterious Camerano’s caves which depict a fully-fledged underground labyrinth excavated in sandstone.
Popular wisdom says “there is more about Camerano in the underground than above”.
Afterwards there is a wine-tasting at one of the most famous winemakers of Conero area, who will host us and tell their story. 
Back to the accommodation and overnight stay.

Day 3
Departure towards Ancona after breakfast. A city characterised by a millennial history of its bound with the sea, which is also a trade and cultural centre of the Mediterranean.
In Ancona we are going to visit the old town, all the streets around the ancient roman city full of ancient buildings, views and fountains. 
Then, we will visit the San Ciriaco’s Cathedral overlooking the sea, going on towards Cardeto’s park and the old lighthouse. 
We will walk along the port looking at the ruins of the ancient walls and going on until reaching Traiano’s Arc, from which it is told that the Roman emperor left for the expedition in Dacia. 
We will have lunch at the sea. Here the old caves of fishermen depict a picturesque background in front of the Adriatic Sea. 
The manager of the Ambasciata dei Diritti (Embassy of Rights) will have lunch with us. The onlus is engaged in the defence of human rights and in social and sport activities addressed to the migrant community of Ancona. 
During the afternoon a tour to the famous and original Mole Vanvitelliana: Former lazaret during the XVIII century, it is a pentagonal artificial island where now you will find the unique tactile museum “Omero”.
In the evening, it is possible to have dinner on the way back or in the farmhouse.
Overnight stay. 

Day 4
After breakfast you will have a free morning you can use to discover the fishing village of Sirolo. Near Monte Conero you can rest in one of Sirolo’s beaches such as: Urbani or Sassi Neri beach for a relaxing morning in one of the most suggestive areas of the coast.
In the late afternoon you will walk across the Conero woods reaching Pian Grande: a ring route guided by a hiking guide to discover the best panoramas of the Park, in the middle of the Mediterranean maquis.
Dinner at a small restaurant nearby Eremo di San Pietro al Conero, an ancient place of monastic worship.
Back to the accommodation and overnight stay.

Day 5
After breakfast a relaxing day will start at the Baia di Portonovo. 
You will find every 20 minutes a shuttle directed to the parking closest to the beach where, across the inlets of the bay, you can spend the morning.
Otherwise, you can decide to board towards Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, by the boat service from Numana.
After lunch (free or packed) there is the possibility to spend more time at the beach or walking across the flora and fauna of the natural ponds of Portonovo, in order to reach the precious historical monuments surrounded by the nature, such as Torre di Guardia, Fortino Napoleonico and the Church of Santa Maria di Portonovo, an amazing Romanesque abbey overlooking the sea. 
Free dinner at a recommended restaurant or directly back to the farmhouse.

Day 6
After breakfast, we will walk around Recanati, the hometown of Giacomo Leopardi, where we can visit his home and library.
Then, a visit to the Museum of Emigrazione Marchigiana is planned. Here you will go through the history of the migration phenomenon and discover bonds between the Marche region and the rest of the world.
Afterwards we will move to the village of Offagna. At lunch we will be hosted by a biological farm, where the owners cultivate with passion medicinal herbs - including Aloe - and dedicate themselves to the extraction of essential oils.
We will have lunch with them enjoying the countryside.
In the afternoon we will discover the heart of Offagna, its amazing mediaeval village rewarded with the Orange Flag (the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy Award).
There we will visit the mediaeval fortress and the Luigi Paolucci Natural Science Museum.
This museum hosts a large testimonial collection related to the activity of naturalistic scientists of Ancona. 
In the evening we will have dinner at one of the best pizzerias of the zone.
Back to the accommodation and overnight stay at the farmhouse. 

Day 7
After breakfast we will have some time to say goodbye to the owners of the farmhouse. Then, a walk tour in Loreto which has been a pilgrimage destination for centuries. Loreto is also known as the Santa Casa (Holy Home) and hosts the famous Madonna Nera.
According to the return time, there will be greetings between travellers and local contacts.
End of the trip.

Travel notes

The current plan can be subjected to changes, before or during the trip according to the weather, holidays, travellers’ needs and people who are hosting the group.
The guide service is scheduled for day 2, day 3 and day 6. During the other days, travellers will independently move around destinations cited above, but they can always count on assistance and advice from local coordinators.
During your stay you will be supported by local contacts of Marche Active Tourism (partner of ViaggieMiraggi), helping you to experience the authenticity of the territory, discovering its peculiarities and fostering the meeting with locals.

Difficulty level
The programme does not include specific difficulties. It is suitable also for families with kids and teenagers. 
The walk around Conero’s Park lasts two/three hours and because of that  right shoes, water supply, hat and binoculars are recommended.
