In the Footsteps of Saint Francis: Between Archaeology and Industrial Archaeology

A special itinerary created as part of the celebrations dedicated to Saint Francis, inspired by the themes and words of the Canticle of the Creatures. A journey inviting visitors to see San Severino Marche from a new perspective, exploring unusual and lesser-known places where history, spirituality, and memory intertwine.

From the “Giuseppe Moretti” Civic Archaeological Museum to the MUSET – Museum of Electricity and Territory, the tour creates a dialogue between museum collections, Franciscan thought, and the Canticle of the Creatures, offering reflections on the relationship between humanity and creation, light, death, charity, and the memory of work.

The result is an original interpretation of the city and its heritage, combining archaeology, industrial archaeology, and spirituality in a journey that speaks to the present.

After the visit to the civic museum, a transfer by private vehicle is planned to reach the MUSET.

The Hymn of Creation in the Upper Potenza Valley

An itinerary through museums, villages, and nature in the Upper Potenza Valley.

A route that connects museums, villages, and landscapes of the Upper Potenza Valley Museum Network with the thoughts of Saint Francis and the words of the Canticle of the Creatures. A widespread itinerary to rediscover the area’s heritage as an opportunity for remembrance, contemplation, and reflection on the relationship between humanity, creation, and local communities.

Non è richiesta preparazione fisica specifica né attrezzatura particolare. Si consigliano abbigliamento e calzature comode per camminare.

La durata può variare da 1 a 3 ore, con ritmo tranquillo e soste frequenti per spiegazioni storico-artistiche e culturali.
