Valmontagnana: a journey into prehistory with an archaeologist

Since the Paleolithic era, the area of the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Natural Park has been a place of settlements and passage for the men and women who lived here, building the foundations of early civilisations. The many archaeological finds discovered over the years include human remains and artefacts dating back to around 5000 BC.

Together with an archaeologist, we will explore a place within the Park that is still unknown to many. We will climb to the summit of Mount Valmontagnana, where a spectacular panorama will help us understand the entire area and observe from above the sites connected to the prehistoric presence of humans.

Requirements
Good walking fitness and experience in natural environments.
Good physical condition and previous hiking experience required.
Children and teenagers: yes, from 14 years old.

Dogs: Allowed on a leash.
